Necton
Nutribloom Plus
EpiLipidNET aims to build and maintain a multidisciplinary pan-European network of researchers, clinicians and enterprises working in the field of lipidomics and epilipidomics.
Challenge
Necton is a Portuguese company producing microalgae since 1997. Indeed, it is the oldest European company producing microalgae in controlled environments.
Driven by the participation in a European conference on microalgae attended by hundreds of scientists, Necton decided to re-launch their Nutribloom plus product, a culture medium for microalgae cultivation with outstanding advantages when compared with the popular F/2 medium.
The challenge was to make an impact in the conference and trigger the attention of fellow scientists, one of their key target audiences.
Solution
The Science Crunchers team was fully engaged in the creation of a 2-min animation video showing why should scientists in academia and industry use Necton’s product instead of the traditional “homemade” culture medium.
We have worked on the entire process of producing such video: script writing, illustrations development and animation, voiceover recording and soundtrack selection to match the ironic/comic style of the video.
The final result was a success among the scientists in the conference.
