The “A Blue Agenda in the Green Deal” Conference focus on the Council Conclusions on a sustainable blue economy, and on the relation between EU Integrated Maritime Policy goals and the United Nations 2030 Sustainable Development Goals.
DGPM requested the branding for the event – a conference to reinforce the importance of the sustainable blue economy in European economic recovery, organized under the Portuguese Presidency of the EU).
Inspired by the logo of the Portuguese EU Presidency — a sun made of yellow dots — we wanted to add a reference to the sea, reflecting the EU’s marine integration policies that underpin this conference. Our idea was to build on the same graphic language by using the yellow circle and dividing it two represent both the sea and the sun.
That create a strong visual element to supporting all the communication materials – agenda, banners, conference backgrounds, conference crawl, and printed dissemination materials (posters, flags, and giftware).
The visual identity developed was also used by the Client to develop the event’s official website.
