OBAMA-NEXT will support sustainable marine conservation strategies and policies, through carefully crafted and tested information products. Its comprehensive toolbox will enhance the precision and scope of marine biodiversity, producing a multi-layered picture of marine species and habitats.
Horizon Europe OBAMA-NEXT project combines different data sources and technologies which represents a challenge in terms of portraying methodologies and tools that not everyone knows and that collect marine habitat and biodiversity data.
The core concept behind the brand and its visual language is based on a key feature of the analytical models used in this project — information pixels by pixels. Starting from this idea, we developed a visual system capable of adapting to different types of content and formats. . Using overlapping of colours, layers and 3D, the communication outputs reveal the complexities of mapping and the models and algorithms supporting the project’s vision and mission.
This pixel-based approach allows us to visually represent both the precision of scientific analysis and the richness of natural ecosystems, reinforcing the connection between data and the environment.
