OBAMA-NEXT will support sustainable marine conservation strategies and policies, through carefully crafted and tested information products. Its comprehensive toolbox will enhance the precision and scope of marine biodiversity, producing a multi-layered picture of marine species and habitats.
Horizon Europe OBAMA-NEXT project combines different data sources and technologies which represents a challenge in terms of portraying methodologies and tools that not everyone knows and that collect marine habitat and biodiversity data.
Science Crunchers created several visuals depicting parts of the project’s process, almost as snapshots of the bigger picture that help breakdown complex systems, methods and mechanisms so they can be better understood by general audiences. Using overlapping of colours, layers and 3D, the communication outputs reveal the complexities of mapping and the models and algorithms supporting the project’s vision and mission.
