BBA Roadmap
BLUEandGREEN
BLUEandGREEN will enhance the research and innovation capacity of CIIMAR and will help to raise the research profile of the staff, as well as of the partner institutions, through the implementation of a vast number of joint activities.
Challenge
The EU Horizon 2020 project BLUEandGREEN focused on enhancing the research and innovation capacity of CIIMAR staff and partner institutions, particularly in implementing the objectives of the regional, national and EU Blue Growth strategy.
One of the core outputs of the project was a Roadmap for Portuguese Blue Bioeconomy, based on a previous mapping of the Portuguese stakeholders involved in the Blue Bioeconomy.
Solution
The Science Crunchers team was involved in the visualisation of the complex socio-economic data collected from stakeholders and turned the data from enquiries into insights.
In addition, Miguel Leal was involved in the writing of the 65 page document covering topics such as the 2030 Blue Bioeconomy vision, the Blue Bioeconomy in Portugal, Challenges for Portuguese Blue Bioeconomy, and Roadmap for 2030 of Portuguese Blue Bioeconomy.
Lastly, the design team worked tirelessly in the graphic and editorial design of this book that is now a benchmark for Blue Bioeconomy stakeholders, and expected to guide future policy-making.
